About the role

Help Shape the Future of Talent Acquisition

Are you passionate about finding better ways to attract, engage and hire great people?

We're looking for a talented and forward-thinking Talent Acquisition Project Officer to join an exciting university-wide transformation programme that will redefine how we recruit, engage and retain talent.

This is more than a recruitment role. It's an opportunity to influence the future of Talent Acquisition across a large, complex and values-driven organisation. You'll help design innovative attraction strategies, enhance the candidate experience, build sustainable talent pipelines and contribute to the creation of a modern, inclusive Talent Acquisition operating model.

If you're someone who enjoys combining data, creativity, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our Recruitment, Resourcing and Talent programme, you'll:

  • Review and improve recruitment processes, systems and candidate journeys
  • Help shape a new Talent Acquisition operating model that delivers a consistent and inclusive experience
  • Develop innovative attraction and employer branding initiatives, including support for our Employer Value Proposition (EVP)
  • Research market trends and emerging recruitment practices to keep us ahead of the curve
  • Build talent pipeline solutions, including graduate, student and referral programmes
  • Work with stakeholders across the University to deliver meaningful change
  • Analyse recruitment and labour market data to generate insight and influence decision-making
  • Support the delivery of pilot projects, workshops, communications and change activities

What We're Looking For

  • We're seeking someone who brings:
  • Experience of working in Talent Acquisition or recruitment in a complex environment, with experience of improving recruitment processes, candidate experience or related services.
  • Experience improving recruitment processes and enhancing candidate experience
  • Knowledge of employer branding, attraction strategies and talent pipelines
  • Confidence using data and insights to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational, analytical and project coordination capabilities
  • A passion for innovation, continuous improvement and creating positive candidate experiences
  • Experience within Higher Education or working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) would be an advantage but isn't essential.

Why Join Us?

This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of recruitment within a respected university community that values collaboration, innovation and inclusion.

You'll have the chance to:

  • Influence strategic change
  • Deliver projects with visible organisational impact
  • Develop your experience across Talent Acquisition, employer branding and transformation
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders across academic and professional services areas
  • Help create a recruitment experience that attracts the very best talent
